Wednesday, May 25th sees the culmination of our hurling championship with 4 divisional finals taking place on the main pitch in McHale Park, Castlebar.
Mountpleasant NS will take on Derrinabroc NS in the Division 4 final, followed by Behy NS Vs Balla NS in the Division 3 decider.
At 5pm a cracking game is in store as Carracastle NS meet Aghamore NS once more following their drawn game in the Mini 7s competition earlier this year.
The evening will draw to a close with the egerly anticipated meeting of Kilmovee NS and Scoil Pádraig (Westport) in the Division 1 final.
A great evening’s sport is in store at the home of Mayo GAA. Well done to all on reaching this stage and best of luck!

In the past year, Ballina suffered the tragic loss of a well known and respected life, Gda. Anthony Golden. He was an avid hurler all through his youth along with his brothers & neighbours. Anthony also played football, but hurling for Ballina James Stephens was a strong focus for Anthony above all.
For 2016, the club are proud to announce the inaugural year of the Gda. Anthony Golden Memorial Cup for National Schools in the Ballina area of north Mayo.
The club are proud to have the support of the family of Gda. Anthony Golden for the new tournament and they know that it will have a lasting impression on the community of Ballina and the wider environs, just as the personality of their son did.
Schools that are invited to participate are:
The memorial cup will be run for 2 age groupings – 3rd/4th class & 5th/6th class. Teams will be comprised of boys and girls.

We don’t get to celebrate All Irelands too often in this county so huge congrats to the Mayo Teachers who captured the All Ireland Inter-Firms Title last weekend.
The team is composed of a number of teachers across both primary and secondary sectors.
