Kiltimagh/Swinford (Area 9) Mini 7s Results

Area 9 Mini 7s

MAYO_1

The Kiltimagh/Swinford area Mini 7s blitz was held in Swinford on Wednesday, October 23rd.

Thankfully, the rain held off long enough to allow for a brilliant day of football for the 12 schools present. Even the Tommy Markham Cup made an appearance thanks to Bohola NS past pupil and All Ireland winning minor Conor Byrne.

Congratulations to boys’ winners Straide NS and winners of the girls’ competition, Meelick NS. These teams will go on to compete against the winners of the Ballaghaderreen/Charlestown (Area 8) competition in February 2014.  This will be a county quarter final.

A huge thank you to everyone for making the day such a success and for organising the event so well. “Ní neart go cur le chéile!” Well done to all!
