Dear Teachers,

A Cumann na mBunscol Rounders meeting will take place in the Mayo Education Centre on Monday April 3rd at 7:30pm. All are invited.

The purpose if the meeting is to establish a rounders competition for schools throughout Mayo. We have secured the use of the main pitch in McHale Park for a rounders county final which will take place on Wednesday June 14th. We are currently proposing to run blitzes locally, from which winners will qualify for the county final on June 14th.

We are starting from scratch here, so we need teachers throughout the county to help with these local blitzes, as is currently the case with our football competitions. We hope to provide support to local areas with regard to available referees, equipment, playing rules, score sheets etc.

If you would like to see rounders in your area, then please come along on the night. I promise we’ll keep it brief and on point! There’ll be tea/coffee before-hand.

If you have any questions, suggestions or indeed expertise that you are willing to lend, please do not hesitate to contact either myself in Craggagh NS (094 9365177 or dannycharlton[at]gmail.com) or Bríd Touhy in Breaffy NS (094 9024699 or bridtw[at]gmail.com).

Yours in sport,

Danny Charlton
