Results Round Up | Cumann na mBunscol Mhaigh Eo Hurling Finals 2017 #MayoGAA @Allianzireland

Aghamore Capt

Over two days, four Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Hurling titles were decided in the home of Mayo GAA.

Undoubtedly inspired by the heroics of the Mayo Senior Hurlers’ terrific Nicky Rackard success last summer and indeed this year’s Christy Ring survival, MacHale Park bore witness to four brilliant finals.

Schools in traditional Mayo hurling strongholds such as Tooreen, Westport and Castlebar featured heavily as well as the ever emerging Cashel Gales, in our Division 1, 2 and 3 finals. It was wonderful also to see Manulla NS and Cloonlyon NS contest the Division 4 final, a testament to the development work going on in our schools under the stewardship of Adrian Hession.

Special mention must go to Aghamore and Manulla who were crowned double champions winning both football and hurling in their respective divisions. Aghamore also won our Sports Quiz last January!
